Serie A outfit Genoa have completed the signing of Spanish defender José Manuel Flores Moreno aka Chico from Almeria. The Cadiz born centre half leaves Almeria after making close to fifty appearances from the club over two seasons.
Chico started his career with his native Cadiz FC and had loan spells at Portuense and Barcelona before signing for neighbours Almeria in 2008.
Chico said that he had received several offers, but chose Genoa as he wanted to ply his trade in Serie A.
Chico has been capped by Spain at U-21 level and was part of their 2009 Euro U-21 Championship squad.
