Genoa set Piatek price

According to Turin-based outlet Tuttosport, Genoa have set their asking price for Krzysztof Piatek at €50million.

The Polish striker, dubbed as the ‘new Lewandowski’, has hit the Italian ground running, and scored an impressive 14 goals in 14 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A side since joining them in the summer of this year. Such incredible form has naturally attracted interest from a number of top clubs, including Juventus, Napoli, Barcelona and Chelsea.

The fact that he only signed a four-year contract this year puts Genoa in a position to demand a very high price, and €50million certainly falls into that category at this point of his career. However, any club that would be serious in their attempt to secure his services would do well to get the ball rolling as soon as possible.

Should his current form prove sustainable over a longer period, the price would likely go further up.
