Grujic eyes Anfield return

Marko Grujic is determined to make is as a Liverpool player.

Speaking exclusively to Liverpool Echo, the 23-year-old admitted that he would need to pick up a lot of experience before he can rightly be a member of the squad at Liverpool, but it doesn’t seem a prospect too daunting to him. He feels he needs to raise the bar in terms of his physical performance as well as the level of concentration, but he is working hard to be ready for the challenge of returning to Anfield and remaining a Liverpool player come 2020/21.

Grujic arrived to the Merseyside club in the summer of 2016, but he actually signed for the Reds in January that year and spent the rest of the season on loan at his former club, Red Star Belgrade. Having made 14 competitive appearances, he was loaned out to Cardiff City for in 2017/18, and he has been with Hertha Berlin, also on loan, since the summer of 2018, despite interest from Atalanta, Brighton and Hove Albion and Eintracht Frankfurt. This season, he’s played in eight competitive games and scored twice from central midfield.
