Following Manchester City’s win over Watford which completed their domestic treble this season, manager Pep Guardiola was asked, in the light of the allegations related to Roberto Mancini at the time the Italian was in the Etihad dugout, whether he ever received separate payments from Abu Dhabi since his appointment in 2016.
City are being investigated by UEFA for alleged breaches of Financial Fair Play rules, and it’s fair to say the Catalan wasn’t pleased about the question.
