Guardiola set for new Manchester City deal

According to a recent report from the Mirror, Manchester City look set to offer manager Pep Guardiola a new long-term contract after the news broke that their two-year UEFA Champions League ban had been officially overturned.

The deal is set to see him receive a significant raise as City attempts to extend the Spaniard’s stay at the club, with his current deal being set to expire at the end of next season.

It’s certainly been one hell of a journey for City fans during Pep’s time in charge, but right now, it does feel as if they’re on the right track towards becoming a truly elite club in world football once again. Guardiola is going to have a huge role to play in that for the remainder of his stay, and given how much he’s contributed to the success of the club since arriving, you’d have to imagine he’s being given quite the deal.
