England are likely to be without centre-back Marc Guehi for their final two World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania after he sustained a foot injury.
Thomas Tuchel’s side, who sealed qualification for next year’s tournament with a 5-0 win in Latvia last month, will host Serbia at Wembley on November 13 before rounding off their Group K campaign in Tirana three days later.
Guehi has started four of England’s eight games under Tuchel, having missed the June international window.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s Premier League meeting with Brighton, Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner revealed Guehi was feeling the effects of a challenge in the closing stages of Thursday’s Conference League win over AZ.
“Marc was fouled in the last minute against [AZ]. It was a knock on his foot. A bone bruise,” Glasner said.

“He can’t even walk at the moment. The last two days he is on crutches.
“I don’t know how this develops over the next couple of days. But at the moment, it doesn’t look good. It looks like he can’t play for England as well.”
If Guehi is forced to withdraw from the squad, John Stones, Ezri Konsa, Dan Burn and Jarell Quansah are the other centre-backs included in Tuchel’s group, while he could opt to call up a replacement.
