Hendrick closing in on Hull switch

Hull City are closing in on the signing of Derby County midfielder Jeff Hendrick, according to the Daily Star.

The Tigers are frantically attempting to add to their depleted squad ahead of squad ahead of the transfer window closing this Wednesday, and appear to have beaten Burnley to the signature of the Republic of Ireland international.

Hendrick impressed as his country progressed out of their group at this summer’s European Championships in France, with the hosts eventually knocking the Irish out in the round of sixteen.

He has spent his whole career so far with the Rams, racking up two hundred and fourteen appearances in all competitions, scoring twenty-six goals while he has been capped a total of twenty-five times for his country.

Derby have won just one of their five league games so far this season leaving them in eighteenth place, and can now be backed at 9/2 for promotion.
