Hodgson dismisses Wan-Bissaka to City reports

Aaron Wan-Bissaka signed a new long-term contract with Crystal Palace in April this year, but despite that, reports recently emerged of Manchester City being linked with a move for the fullback.

However, according to Sky Sports, Eagles’ manager Roy Hodgson has pored cold water over such rumours, stating very clearly Wan-Bissaka wouldn’t be going anywhere. The former Liverpool and England boss said he had no idea whether such reports held any truth and directed the press to ask Pep Guardiola about the matter.

As for Palace, they see the 20-year-old as an important part of their team, but more to the point, he is contracted to them for a long time yet and they have no intention of parting ways with him any time soon.

Hodgson also said it was good that the youngster to get into such reports as it means the press have become aware of his progress and are giving him due credit.
