Manchester City tried hard to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur late in the summer window, only for Spurs to refuse to sell their top star. Nonetheless, the reigning Premier League champions have been doing very well this season.
But manager Pep Guardiola wasn’t impressed with suggestions that they don’t need a striker following their 1-4 win away to Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.
🗣 “Sky…I’m going to tell you something, one day we are going to lose a game and you’re going to ask me if I miss a striker, I bet you whatever you want.” 😌
