Jonas linked with West Ham switch

West Ham United have lined up Valencia striker Jonas as their latest transfer target as they aim to at firepower to their goal shy strike force, the Metro understands.

Sam Allardyce’s men have managed to score just thirteen goals in their sixteen league games so far this season, and sit just one point and one place above the relegation zone.

Their current batch of strikers have scored just three goals between them, while their top scorer is midfielder Ravel Morrison, who has himself has managed the same amount.

Southampton’s Rickie Lambert has also been linked with a move to Upton Park recently, along with Diego Milito of Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur duo Jermaine Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor.

Jonas has eight goals in fourteen appearances for Los Che, and will be hoping to add to his eight caps for Brazil in the lead up to next summer’s World Cup finals.
