Juan Mata drops quit hint

Valencia winger Juan Manuel Mata has hinted at a possible move abroad, among interest from a number of Premiership sides.

The Spain international was on the verge of a move to Arsenal, but Chelsea are now threatening to hijack the Gunners’ bid for the highly rated midfielder.

The player has now revealed that he is looking for a new challenge.

“Going abroad can certainly be a positive experience, but the truth is I do not know when,” Mata told Harper’s Bazaar.

“The day I left Asturias for Madrid was also very important, with that fear in you if things do not work out.

”Same thing happened to me coming to Valencia, but here I have grown a lot as a player and, frankly, I think I can keep growing.”
