Juventus have been linked with a move for Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio for a long while, and now Turin-based outlet Tuttosport report that the Old Lady has made contact with the representatives of the Spain international.
The Serie A champions seem determined to pick the bones of the Champions League holders, who have been deprived of the opportunity to defend their European crown this season as they bowed out of the Elite competition with a home defeat at hands of Ajax on Tuesday. They already took Cristiano Ronaldo from them last summer, and Marcelo has been touted to follow in the footsteps of the Portuguese superstar too.
Despite the struggles at Real, who have all but fallen out of the equation when it comes to domestic competitions as well, Asensio hasn’t been getting the game-time he craves and is reportedly unhappy with his status at the club. The 23-year-old has been seen as one of the players to compensate for the loss of Ronaldo in the near future, and if he leaves the club too, it will be another heavy blow for Los Blancos.
