Juve to turn attention to Pedro

Juventus are set to move for Barcelona forward Pedro when the transfer window reopens, according to the Express.

The Serie A champions had been linked with a move for Manchester United’s Juan Mata, though they now look set to turn their attention elsewhere as the former Chelsea man looks set to stay put following a fine start to the season.

Pedro is said to be unhappy with his role as ‘super-sub’ under new Barca boss Luis Enrique, and is set to fall further down the pecking order when Luis Suarez returns from suspension next month.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal have also been linked with a move for the Spain international, who has spent his entire career so far with the Catalan club, making two hundred and seventy-one appearances in all competitions, scoring eighty-seven goals.

However, he was left out of yesterday’s 1-0 win over APOEL Nicosia in their opening Champions League fixture.
