Juventus sporting director Alessio Secco has ruled out a possible move to AC Milan for French forward David Trezeguet.

Milan have expressed an interest in signing the 31-year-old goalscorer — nicknamed Trezegol by adoring fans — but Secco told Monday’s Gazzetta dello Sport that the former Monaco forward would only move abroad if he did leave.

“Trezeguet is happy to stay, he’s working hard. We’ve never thought about parting ways but if there’s an offer we’ll talk about it,” said Secco.

“At the end of last season he brought up the possibility of finding a new club … (but) we’d never give him to another Italian club.

“He’s a good player and we want to keep him but if his agent comes to us with an offer from abroad, we’ll look at it.”

No foreign player has scored as many goals for the ‘Old Lady of Turin’ as Trezeguet, who joined the club in 2000.

However, last season was a poor one for him as he began the campaign injured and needed operations on both knees.

He also fell out of favour with then coach Claudio Ranieri and played only eight Serie A matches, only two of those as a starter and scored just one goal.
