According to a recent report from Tuttosport, Italian champions Juventus are gearing up to make a move for Alex Grimaldo. The 23 year old defender has been with Benfica since back in 2015, when he made the transition over from Barcelona. Since then he’s established himself as one of the most exciting young players in world football today, which is why he’s been garnering the attention of the big dogs as of late. It is said that Juve will need to fork out £45 million in order to make the deal a reality, but they aren’t the only team involved in the race. Both Atletico Madrid and Manchester United are said to be in the running for his signature, which could lead to a bidding war in the summer between the giants of the European scene.

Either way, it certainly feels like Grimaldo’s time in Portugal is starting to come to an end.
