Juventus are apparently interested in signing Raphael Varane of Real Madrid.
Reports across Europe claim that Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have been courting the French defender, and now AS relay reports from Italy which state that the Serie A title holders are also prepared to enter the race for his services.
It appears that the Old Lady are seeing Varane as an alternative for their long-term target Matthijs de Ligt of Ajax, who they might miss out on due to strong interest in the young Dutchman from Barcelona.
Varane signed a new contract with Real last year, incorporating a €500 million buyout clause which puts the Madrid giants in a very strong position when it comes to 25-year-old’s potential exit from the Santiago Bernabeu. Nonetheless, if the players insists, they will be forced to enter negotiations with prospective buyers and lower the price for the World Cup winner.
