Giorgian defender Kakhaber Kaladze will not need surgery and could be available for action for AC Milan next Sunday.

Kaladze has been struggling with a knee injury and it was feared that he would require surgery.

“They performed a knee injection and I will need to undergo a course of therapies over the next two months,” Kaladze told Telelombardia.

“Then we will see what happens, but I will resume training on Wednesday. There is no need for surgery at the moment and I think I could be available for our next game.”

He continued: “The medical staff know that I have been dealing with this knee problem for a few years but I have now reached a point of no return.

“When I was training in Dubai, the coach and the club had already noticed it and it is people who cannot stand me that spread around these false stories.”
