Koren to wait on contract talks

Hull City captain Robert Koren has been told by the club that he will have to wait on talks over a new contract, according to Sky Sports.

The midfielder, who turns 34 in the summer, will see his current deal expire at the end of the season and he is yet to agree terms on a new deal.

He has started just nine times in the Premier League so far this season, and may need to move on if he wants to be playing regular first team football.

His manager Steve Bruce is an admirer of the Slovenia international, but has admitted that it may be in his interest to find a new club.

Koren moved to England in 2007, spending three-and-a-half years with West Bromwich Albion before moving to the KC Stadium.

Hull face Arsenal in next month’s FA Cup final at Wembley, and are priced at 6/1 to lift the trophy for what would be the first time in their history.
