Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has admitted that the club may not spend much this summer, as a result of the combination of Covid-19 pandemic and the players already at his disposal.
Speaking to the press a few days ago, Guardiola revealed that Leroy Sane rejected numerous offers of a new contract and that he has his heart set on a move to another club. It is widely believed that the other club is Bayern Munich, who have been linked heavily with the winger for over a year now. Sane is therefore expected to leave the Etihad this summer, though the matter of the transfer fee still remains to be resolved.
But it seems City may not move to sign a replacement for the Germany international. Guardiola already has the likes of Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva in his ranks, all playing, or capable of playing, in a wide attacking role.
