Leicester back in for Evans

Leicester City are weighing up a second bid for West Bromwich Albion defender Jonny Evans, according to the Telegraph.

Having completed the £17m signing of Harry Maguire from Hull City last week, manager Craig Shakespeare in keen to continue strengthening his squad as they prepare for a fourth straight season back in the top flight.

West Brom rejected a £10m bid from the Foxes for Evans last week proving they are not willing to let him go easy.

Evans moved to the Hawthorns from Manchester United two years ago and has so far racked up sixty-five appearances for the Midlands club in all competitions, scoring three goals – the last of which came in the 2-1 defeat to Swansea City on the final day of the season.

During a decade at Old Trafford, he played just shy of two hundred times and won three Premier League titles and two League Cups.
