Leicester City to beat Newcastle and over 1.5 goals 20/21 for Sunday’s Premier League matchup

Competition: Premier League

Market: Leicester City win and over 1.5 goals

Odds: 20/21 @ Bet 365

With their sights set on clinching a European return this season, Leicester will welcome Newcastle to the King Power on Sunday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, coming from behind to clinch a very impressive 2-1 win at home to Spurs last weekend, the Foxes have really caught the eye since opening the 2019/2020 campaign. With Brendan Rodgers’ men also booking their spot in the fourth round of this year’s EFL Cup thanks to a thumping 4-0 win away at Luton in midweek, the mood around the King Power continues to soar. Led by leading marksman Jamie Vardy and already sat third in the standings, there is no doubt that the former Celtic boss should see this as a golden opportunity to extend on their winning run this weekend.

As for the visitors, while the mood around Leicester might be on the rise, the same cannot be said in Newcastle’s camp. Once again being booed off by the St. James’ crowd after putting in another lackluster display at home to Brighton last weekend, the pressure is quickly starting to mount on new boss Steve Bruce. Unable to pick up a single victory in September and also crashing out of the EFL Cup at the hands of Sunday’s hosts last month, we’re backing another long afternoon for the former Sunderland boss on the road this weekend. Backing a Leicester win and over 1.5 goals at 20/21 seems like the smartest bet here.
