Leicester reject Musa bid

Leicester have rejected a bid for Ahmed Musa, according to Sky Sports. The bid in question came from Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr and it amounted to £12million.

Leicester signed Musa in 2016 for £16.6million from CSKA Moscow, the club’s transfer record at the time. But after only one season, during which he made 32 appearances in all competitions and scored only four goals, he was loaned back to the Russian club for the 2017/18 season.

He has made 73 appearances for Nigeria, a significant number for a 25-year-old player, but given his position on the pitch his output of 15 international goals is just as unimpressive as that he has achieved for Leicester.

Seemingly out of favour at the King Power Stadium, Musa has been under observation of several clubs across Europe, and obviously outside of the continent as well.

However, the Foxes seem reluctant to part ways with the forward. Whether they’re actually counting on him for the upcoming season or just holding out for a higher price remains to be seen.
