Liverpool considering Ferran Torres

Liverpool are considering a move for Ferran Torres of Valencia, according to the Mirror.

The Premier League’s runaway leaders are in search of a versatile forward, a younger player that would initially offer a backup option for their established first-choice attacking trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, but with enough potential to take on a leading role at some point in the future. They’ve been heavily linked with stars such as Kylian Mbappe, Timo Werner and Jadon Sancho, but the club’s preferred policy remains to create their own stars, rather than buy them already at the peak.

Torres, 20-year-old Spain U-21 international, is primarily a right winger, but he’s fully capable of playing on the left or through the middle, which makes him a highly interesting prospect for Jurgen Klopp. However, the Champions League holders are aware that Torres is also being monitored by both Real Madrid and Barcelona. Reports in Italy last week mentioned Juventus as interested as well.

This season, Torres has scored six goals and provided seven assists in 35 games in all competitions, and he is about to enter the final 12 months of his contract.
