Liverpool increasingly confident of signing Mason Mount

Liverpool are increasingly confident of signing Mason Mount from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to talkSPORT. Mount is out of contract at former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea in the summer of 2024, and talks between the England international midfielder and the Blues are not going well at the moment.

Mount is now reportedly highly likely to join Liverpool, who are on the hunt for young and dynamic midfielders. The 24-year-old is not having the best of times at the moment, but the Chelsea midfielder is one of the best in his position in the Premier League.

The Englishman has made 20 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool so far this season, scoring three goals and providing two assists in the process. Mount has also made five starts and two substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League for Chelsea so far this campaign, providing one assist in the process.
