According to a recent report from Marca, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has added Sevilla sensation Diego Carlos to his target list ahead of the summer transfer window. The centre back is believed to have a release clause of around £67 million in his current contract, with the deal being set to run out in 2024.
Still, the Reds are one of the most exciting teams in world football right now, and making the switch over to Anfield could be too appealing to resist.
Liverpool want and need some strength in depth within their ranks, and while some will argue they have that, their defensive issues have always been seen as the biggest issue during Klopp’s time in charge.
Carlos may not be regarded as one of the world’s best defenders just yet, but if he can secure a move of this magnitude to the Champions of Europe, this could be the beginning of something great.
