Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and captain Jordan Henderson lay flowers at Anfield’s Hillsborough Memorial on 34th anniversary of the infamous disaster (Video)

On April 15th, 1989, one of the most tragic events in the history of football happened at the Hillsborough Stadium in Sheffield, where 97 Liverpool fans were unlawfully killed as a consequence of gross police negligence.

Each year, the Merseyside club marks the anniversary of the event, still fighting against the loose ends left by the lies of a certain newspaper about what happened on that fateful day. The world now knows the truth, but there are still those among the rival supporters who deem it fit to sing chants offensive to the victims which deeply hurt their families and friends.
