Liverpool not in for Jović

A few days ago, German newspaper Bild reported Livepool manager Jurgen Klopp held strong interest in Eintracht Frankfurt’s Luka Jović. However, Liverpool Echo‘s James Pearce, known for taking empty rumours apart, struck again and dismissed the report.

Apparently, Klopp has no intention of signing the Serbian striker. The former Borussia Dortmund coach has three centre-forwards behind his first choice Roberto Firmino, and even not one of Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi and Dominic Solanke fulfills his expectations, there is still Rhian Brewster.

Brewster, 18, rejected advances from Bundesliga clubs last summer before he penned a professional deal with the Reds, and he’s currently stepping up his recovery from injury. Meanwhile, Solanke also hasn’t played for Liverpool yet this season, but he scored twice for England’s U21 side against Italy during this international break.

With those two in mind, Klopp believes he doesn’t need Jović or any other young striker at this point.
