Liverpool are ready to include Ben Doak in a swap deal for Crystal Palace central defender Marc Guehi, according to The Sun. The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Palace want £50 million for Guehi, but Liverpool believe that they can do a deal for a lesser fee by including Doak in the transfer.
According to the report in The Sun, Palace like Doak and would love to sign him. The 19-year-old, who can play as a right-winger or attacking midfielder, is rated at £25 million. Liverpool’s plan is to offer the winger and cash to convince the Eagles to send England international centre-back Guehi the other way.
The Sun has claimed that Liverpool’s Merseyside rivals Everton are also interested in signing Guehi from Palace in the summer transfer window. However, the Toffees are not willing to pay £50 million for the defender, who is out of contract at Palace next summer and has drawn interest from Manchester United and Newcastle United as well.
