Liverpool showing interest in Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson

Liverpool are interested in signing Elliot Anderson from Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest, according to The Sun. The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Liverpool scouts have been impressed with Anderson, and that the Merseyside club, who have turned down bids for Ben Doak, could try to sign the former Newcastle United midfielder in the summer of 2025.

Anderson joined Forest from Newcastle United in the summer of 2024. The Magpies did not want to sell the England Under-21 international, but they had to offload him due to PSR issues. Anderson had come through Newcastle’s youth system and established himself in the first team.

The Englishman has been one of the best players for Forest this season. Anderson has made 14 starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Reds this campaign, providing five assists in the process. Nuno’s side are third in the Championship table at the moment with 37 points from 19 matches, eight points behind leaders Liverpool.
