Liverpool to send Brewster and Kelleher out on loan

Liverpool are prepared to let Rhian Brewster leave on loan in January, according to Liverpool Echo.

The 19-year-old forward is highly rated by manager Jurgen Klopp and his future with the current Champions League holders is not in question at this point. However, their front three are firmly established at the moment with Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah, while Divock Origi continues to prove himself a capable backup option. Xherdan Shaqiri has now recovered from a long-lasting calf injury and is back in full training.

Under the circumstances, it would be unrealistic to expect Brewster to get nearly enough game-time for his development if he stays at Anfield for the second half of the season, and if a loan deal is to be struck, Klopp will demand a clause setting the minimum number of minutes on the pitch to be included in it. Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Swansea are said to be interested.

The Premier League leaders are exploring a similar path for Caoimhin Kelleher, with the 21-year-old goalkeeper firmly behind Alisson Becker and Adrian in the pecking order.
