Newcastle United have decided to offload Lloyd Kelly to Juventus for the rest of the season, according to Sky Sports. It has been reported that Premier League club Newcastle and Serie A outfit Juventus have agreed a loan deal for Kelly.
Kelly will join Juventus on loan. The contract stipulates that the Bianconeri are obligated to make the deal permanent in the summer of 2025 for £20 million. The defender has been given permission to travel to Turin for a medical.
Newcastle signed Kelly on a free transfer last summer. The 26-year-old, who can operate as a centre-back or as a left-back, has struggled for regular playing time under head coach Eddie Howe. Kelly has made only 14 appearances for the Magpies this season. He has scored one goal. Newcastle are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this campaign.
