Lukasz Fabianski extends West Ham contract

It’s been officially confirmed that Lukasz Fabianski has signed a new contract with West Ham United, extending his stay at the London Stadium until the end of 2021-22.

The 35-year-old signed for the Hammers from Swansea City in the summer of 2018, for a reported fee of around £7 million. Since then, he has stood between the posts for the club on 90 occasions and kept 22 clean sheets, winning the ‘Hammer of the Year’ award in his first season there. Of the 27 matches West Ham have played in the Premier League this term, he only missed two due to separate minor injury issues.

Speaking to the club’s official website, the 55-time Poland international expressed happiness about the contract, as well as gratitude towards his employers for everything they’ve done for him so far. Both the goalkeeper and the club hierarchy believe that this extension is a confirmation of the shrewdness of the acquisition of his services almost three years ago.
