Man City agree Ferran Torres terms

Manchester City have agreed personal terms with Valencia’s Ferran Torres, according to Eurosport.

The report claims that the winger’s representatives met with the Premier League club on Wednesday, and reached total agreement for a move to the Etihad. Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid were both interested in his services too, but it seems that his desire to play under the command of Pep Guardiola has influenced his choice the most. The 20-year-old has so far played in 46 games for Valencia across all competitions this season, scoring six and assisting further eight goals.

City recently parted ways with Leroy Sane who left Manchester to join Bayern Munich, and Torres seems like a good fit to replace the Germany international in Guardiola’s squad. All that now remains is for the two clubs to agree on a transfer fee, which shouldn’t prove too difficult. The contract binding the player to Valencia has entered its final 12 months and they are apparently keen to sell, having failed to qualify for Europe next season.
