Man United don’t want Ronaldo back after World Cup

Manchester United don’t want Cristiano Ronaldo back at their training centre of Carrington after the World Cup, according to Fabrizio Romano, and they’re prepared to instruct the Portugal captain not to return in the wake of his highly controversial interview with Piers Morgan on Monday.

Apparently, this is just the first step they’re taking to ensure his indiscretion does not pass without severe consequences; there is more to come.

Speaking to Morgan, Ronaldo delivered a damning assessment of everything he’s seen since returning to Old Trafford in 2021 after 12 years of absence, and revealed that he felt “betrayed” by the club.

The 37-year-old five-time Ballon d’Or winner is under contract with the 20-time English champions until the end of the season.
