Man United face Valencia deadline

Manchester United have a deadline of 5pm today to trigger a 12 month extension in the current of Antonio Valencia. If they do not do so then he will be eligible to leave Old Trafford in the summer transfer window, which feels like something the fans have been anticipating for quite some time now. The 33 year old has been with United since back in 2009, when he made the jump over from Wigan Athletic. In that time he’s made well over 300 appearances for the club and has had a lot of memorable moments along the way, even though so fans consider him to be a little bit overrated.

United already appear to be putting plans in place for what they’re going to do in the summer and beyond, which should make for an interesting few months. The big question is whether or not Solskjaer will remain in charge, when in reality, we should be asking the same of many veterans in United’s ranks.
