Wigan manager Steve Bruce has hinted that Manchester City are the side rivalling Tottenham in the race to sign Wilson Palacios. Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is close to a £14million deal for the Honduran midfielder, but reports on Saturday suggested Manchester United were ready to hijack the move.
“The club involved is not far from where we are now,” Bruce was quoted. “And it is not true that it is Manchester United.”
