Manchester City want Tagliafico

According to a recent report from Sports Illustrated, Manchester City view Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico as a potential target during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Argentine has hinted that he will be leaving the Dutch giants prior to the start of next season, with the interested clubs including Barcelona, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.

He is currently believed to be valued at around £22 million, with City now throwing their name into the mix as the race hots up.

The former Premier League champions are set to have more joy than they initially expected during the summer window, mainly due to the fact that their two-year European ban has now been lifted. While they aren’t likely to lure every single one of their proposed targets to the Etihad, you can bet that there will be a few notable names heading through their doors as Pep Guardiola attempts to wrestle back the title from Liverpool next season.
