Round 16 of the Premier League season ended with Manchester United taking on Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Monday evening, and the game turned into a proper show as each side scored four goals.
Amad Diallo broke the deadlock 13 minutes in, and Antoine Semenyo equalized in the 40th. Still, United went to the break ahead as Casemiro restored their lead in the first-half stoppage time. But less than a minute into the second period, Evanilson made it level again, and Marcus Tavernier turned the game on its head with a well-taken free-kick in the 52nd. United captain Bruno Fernandes apparently took that personally and produced an even better one in the 77th, and when Matheus Cunha made it 4-3 two minutes later, it seemed all the points would stay at Old Trafford. However, the final word belonged to Bournemouth substitute Eli Junior Kroupi, who made sure his team went home undefeated with a fine finish in the 84th.
Quite apart from the eight goals, there were plenty of chances at both ends and some fine saves by goalkeepers Senne Lammens and Djordje Petrovic.
