Manchester United and Manchester City want to sign Sandro Tonali from Premier League rivals Newcastle United in the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The well-known and well-respected Italian journaluist said on his YouTube channel: “There is interest in Manchester United, there is interest from Manchester City, so, for sure, both Manchester clubs are folowing the Tonali situation.
“And, for sure, he’s going to be one of the names of the summer to follow.
“Then we have to understand what happens with Newcastle, what kind of request, price-tag there will be for Sandro Tonali.
“At the moment, Manchester City are pushing for Elliot Anderson.
“I maintain that name, but Tonali is another name they have on the shortlist.”
Newcastle are 14th in the Premier League table at the moment with 42 points from 34 matches, as many as eight points above the relegation zone.
