According to Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan winger Rafael Leao might be available this summer for a cut-price fee of £43million, and such a deal would be of interest for Manchester United.
The Portugal international played well for Milan in the first half of the season, but fitness issues largely contributed to what has been a problematic spring, as well as tactical issues with him being frequently shifted into the central attacking role, as opposed to his preferred position on the left. The numbers – 10 goals and just three assists in no more than 30 appearances in all competitions in 2025-26 – are disappointing for a player of such obvious talent.
Furthermore, at Milan, they are unhappy with the 26-year-old’s contribution off the ball, and though he has prominently featured in their kit promoting campaign for 2026-27, he would be allowed to leave this summer if a suitable offer arrives. However, his future is not expected to be resolved before the upcoming World Cup.
