Manchester United preparing new contracts for Greenwood, Lingard and Pogba

The club are expected to offer Mason Greenwood and Jesse Lingard new contracts soon and will also try to convince Paul Pogba to commit himself to the club, reports Express.

The Red Devils’ boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will make sure he keeps his players at Old Trafford, having already managed to convince David de Gea and Victor Lindelof to stay at the club until at least 2023 and 2024, respectively. Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Scott McTominay have all signed long-term deals in recent months.

17-year-old Greenwood only signed professional terms last October and Lingard is in the middle of his contract, which ends in 2021. While both are expected to accept new deals, it remains uncertain whether the club will manage to persuade Pogba to stay, with plenty of rumours in terms of his intention to leave United in the transfer window behind us. United have had to ward off any potential suitors by saying that, with two years left of his contract, the French international was not for sale, but it remains to be seen whether the 26-year-old will decide to stay or that it is, as he himself put it, “time to have a new challenge.“
