Mane to Real story dead – Balague

Answering viewers’ questions on his YouTube channel, Guillem Balague poured very cold water on reports of Sadio Mane possibly moving to Real Madrid this summer by pronouncing the story “dead”.

There was interest from Real head coach Zinedine Zidane in his first spell at the job to try and sign the Senegalese from Liverpool last summer, but then he left the club and the matter was closed. With the return of Zidane already sparking many rumours, the Spanish journalist claims that the media talking about Mane as a Real target once more are simply trying to reinvent an old story, nothing more.

In the end, Balague adds that Real and Zidane may want Mane, but the problem is, the winger signed a new deal with Liverpool last November, with no buyout clause and set to keep him at Anfield until the summer of 2023. There is absolutely no way to get take him away from his current club as they have no interest in parting ways with him.
