Former Monaco playmaker Camel Meriem has admitted he would be interested in moving to the Premier League after being linked with Bolton.

Meriem is currently without a club after leaving Monaco earlier this year and speculation suggests he could be on his way to the Reebok Stadium.

Reports in France claim Gary Megson has identified the 29-year-old as a player who could bring a different dimension to the Trotters attack.

Meriem concedes he would be open to such a switch, although he is not getting too hopeful after being connected with Bolton for some time.

He told skysports.com: “I have been linked with a move there before and other places in England but it never happened so let’s wait and see.

“To play in the English league would be very good.”
