Gareth Southgate named his squad for the World Cup on Wednesday, with Joe Hart and Jack Wilshere among the high-profile omissions.
But for those who have made the cut, the countdown to Russia starts now.
And Southgate’s chosen 23 have been reacting to the news on social media, with Kyle Walker, Marcus Rashford and the uncapped Trent Alexander-Arnold among those taking to Twitter.
Not that it was ever in doubt, but Manchester City full-back Walker missed the news of his call-up when the England manager first tried to reach him.

Leicester City defender Harry Maguire, meanwhile, recalled following England as a fan at Euro 2016.
