Le 10 Sport understands that Monaco are hot on the trail of Lille midfielder Soualiho Meite.
The Principality club are bracing themselves for a barrage of offers for star footballer Tiemoue Bakayoko, who is on the radar of top European sides.
And with the talented midfielder widely expected to leave in the summer, Monaco have been on the lookout for his replacement.
According to Le 10 Sport, Lille youngster Soualiho Meite has emerged as one of their primary targets after impressing during the loan spell with Zulte Waregem.
The 22-year-old had shown a great deal of potential since arriving from Auxerre in 2013, but he couldn’t secure first team football in Nord-Pas-de-Calais and decided to move to neighbouring Belgium.
That proved a very good career move as he has now earned a chance to return to French Ligue 1, with Monaco very interested in his signature.
