Mourinho: “No chance” De Gea will leave United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has dismissed the possibility of David De Gea leaving the club this summer.

The goalkeeper has regularly been linked with a move to Real Madrid, and was at one time excluded from the squad because of it by the manager at the time, Louis van Gaal. Now, it seems the situation has changed significantly on that front.

De Gea, whose team hasn’t won the Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013, recently spoke of his intention to win trophies with Manchester United. He expressed his desire to get the club back as champions of England and to properly challenge in the Champions League.

Mourinho, when asked about the possibility of the Spaniard leaving the club this year, simply replied that there is “no chance” of that happening. De Gea is about to enter the final year of his contract, but it seems the 27-year-old is going nowhere just yet.
