(GSM) – Former Arsenal prodigy Paulo Nagamura has agreed terms with Mexican side Tigres UANL, where he will spend the 2010 season on loan.

The Brazilian, 26, formed a key part of Chivas USA’s squad in the last three seasons, as the midfielder made a total of 78 appearances and scored eight goals.

“Paulo is a strong, dedicated player who has given this club a lot in the past three seasons,” according to Chivas vice president Stephen Hamilton.

“Everyone at Chivas USA wishes Paulo the best at Tigres.”

Nagamura joined Arsenal’s youth system in 2001 but never made it into the first team. Instead, he was sold to LA Galaxy in 2005. In 2007, the player was drafted by Toronto FC but almost immediately transferred to Chivas.
