Napoli are favourites to land Trippier

According to a recent report from The Independent, Italian side Napoli are the clear favourites to complete the signing of Kieran Trippier from Tottenham Hotspur this summer. The England international’s finest hour came when he put England 1-0 up against Croatia in their World Cup semi final last summer, but ever since then, it has felt like he’s been on a gradual decline. A series of top clubs around Europe are said to have been interested in acquiring his services, but Napoli’s offer is believed to have excited him more than any other. Tottenham are willing to sell the 28 year old on the basis that their £25 million valuation is met, which seems to be the case.

This deal will likely get wrapped up in at least a few weeks time, due to Tottenham currently preparing for their Champions League final showdown with Liverpool. Either way, though, it seems like the Englishman is all but certain to leave Spurs this summer.
