Napoli interested in Luka Jovic

According to reports in Italy relayed by Marca, Napoli are interested in signing Luka Jovic from Real Madrid this summer.

The 22-year-old striker arrived to the Santiago Bernabeu last summer for a significant fee, the size of which varies in reports from €60m to €70m, from Eintracht Frankfurt. He was seen as a backup option and a potential long-term successor to Karim Benzema, but he has thoroughly failed to meet the expectations, and Real are now open to offers for his services. He has recently been linked with AC Milan, Hertha Berlin, Chelsea and Leicester City, but Napoli now appear to have joined the race having taken concrete steps to make it happen.

The Serie A side have already met with Fali Ramadani, who represents the Serbia international, and expressed their desire to bring him to the Sao Paolo stadium on a permanent deal. But the fee they would be paying would have to be low, given the financial restrictions caused by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. If a permanent switch cannot be agreed, they would also be open to a loan.
