In a thrilling game on Thursday evening, Manchester City made sure the Carabao Cup doesn’t stay in Liverpool by knocking the holders out in the round of 16. Erling Haaland broke the deadlock for the Premier League champions, Fabio Carvalho leveled things up, Riyad Mahrez scored a fantastic goal to get City back in front, but Mohamed Salah equalized again in the very next minute. In the end, it was this goal from Nathan Ake that settled the contest in City’s favour.
